PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT) is an Indonesian joint venture company owned by Nusa Tenggara Partnership and by PT Pukuafu Indah. In 1986 PTNNT signed a Contract of Work Agreement for our Batu Hijau copper and gold mine with the Republic of Indonesia in an area located on West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Batu Hijau is an open pit mine with associated processing and support facilities. Our product is copper concentrate containing small quantities of gold which is transported to local and foreign smelters for further processing. The project is located in West Sumbawa regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

The Batu Hijau porphyry copper deposit was discovered in 1990 after ten years of exploration. Following the approval of the feasibility study and environmental impact analysis (ANDAL), a US$1.8 billion construction project commenced in early 1997 and finished in late 1999, followed by commissioning/ start up. Commercial production started on 1 March 2000.


Based on the feasibility study, Batu Hijau's ore reserves were 1.1 billion tons containing 0.525 percent copper and 0.37 grams per ton of gold. At the current production rate, Batu Hijau's mine life is expected to continue until 2023. PTNNT is currently exploring other parts of its Contract of Work area such as the Elang exploration prospect.

As a contractor to the Government of Indonesia, PTNNT contributes substantially to the nation's economy through employment, domestic purchases, royalties and taxes. Currently, PTNNT is responsible for the direct employment of over 7,000 people. Of these, more than 60 percent are from the province of West Nusa Tenggara.

In 2007, PTNNT contributed more than $248 million in taxes, non-taxes and royalties to the Indonesian government. In addition, PTNNT annually purchases goods and services from within Indonesia amounting more than US$154 million, pays US$58 million to national employees and spends US$4 million in community development.

Responsibility:
To ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable tax reporting requirements including collection and remittance of VAT, various withholding taxes, compliance with Indonesian tax rules, handling of importlexport tax issues, and any other tax-related matters affecting the company.

Qualification:
• S-I in Accounting or Tax.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Tax and Accounting
• Experience in Monthly/Yearly Tax Return preparation of VAT, Witholding Tax and CIT.
• Having knowledge and experience in Indonesian Taxation Law and reconcileat~on of
• all general ledger tax account.

MEN0047 - Engineer Drill & Blast

Responsibility:
* The Engineer - Drill & Blast will provide the link between the design and analysis of drill and blast practices and the production group to the facilities optimum blasting outcomes.
* An experienced drill and blast engineer is required to manage the comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling of drill and blast activities that are required to maintain production targets and complete scheduled project work
* The Engineer - Drill & Blast will be required to develop and schedule drilling patterns and coordinate daily mine blasts. He/She will monitor CPI’s on mine operational performance and assist in reducing mining inefficiency. He/She will also be required to fill in for production engineers and ore control engineers when necessary

Qualifications:

* B.Sc or M.Sc Degree in Mine Engineering or related field and three to five (3-5) years of directly related experience is required
* Certified of competency for Frontline Operational Supervisor of OHS ad Mine Environment from DEMR
* Advanced technical knowledge of mine engineering is required

To develop fresh graduate mine engineer and to perform as professorial engineer for Long Range Scheduling, Project and Planning functions, Geotechnical and Hydrology and Operation / Maintenance including: ore reserve estimation, mine design, long range planning and scheduling, cut-off grade analysis, dewatering / pit drainage planning, stockpile and waste dump design, dump reclamation and equipment analysis, geotechnical assessment, mine drainage design, mining equipment maintenance scheduling.

Qualification:

Responsibility:
• The purpose of this position is to manage the daily activities of the general ledger accounting function, prepare U.S. and Indonesian GAAP consolidated financial statements, prepare internal financial reports in a timely manner to enable managers to make informed decisions, maintain the integrity of the company s accounting structure to ensure that costs are recorded accurately, timely and consistently, and assist in the development of the annual budget and the five year forecast to enable management to make informed strategic decisions.

Qualification:
