Electrical Technician (ET)
Responsibilities:
- Provide routine electrical maintenance duties as assigned for industrial power generation equipment, power distribution equipment, and power utilization equipment at the ConocoPhillips asset named above.
- This position requires a qualified electrician with experience in industrial electrical maintenance and will be required to be able to work in both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas Facilities.
- Completion of the ConocoPhillips Electrical Competency Assurance procedure to the CEP level is mandatory.
- The CEP is responsible for operating and maintaining electrical equipment used in Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Areas within ConocoPhillips facilities for maximum safety and reliability under the direction and supervision of the facility Responsible Electrical Person (REP), Senior Responsible Electrical Person (SREP), Electrical Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent.
- Adherence to the ConocoPhillips, Indonesia Electrical Safety Procedure is Mandatory. The CEP is required to work as a team member with Maintenance and Operations personnel with minimum supervision.
- Basic computer skills are required for access to company documentation and time keeping systems.

- Read and understand technical drawings, literature, and specifications.
- Executes routine Preventive Maintenance procedures on electrical equipment according to written procedures and “Best Practices” under the supervision of the facility REP or higher.
- Performs routine troubleshooting and repairs on facility electrical equipment to ConocoPhillips and equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
- Maintains the integrity of Hazardous Area Electrical Wiring and Apparatus in Oil and Gas facilities.
- Contributes as a team member in maintenance and operations daily activities to maintain production in the safest possible manner.
- Participates in all Company HSE programs as required.
Bawal Commissioning Engineer (BCE)
This Bawal Commissioning Engineer position will have the primary responsibility to coordinate the Offshore Commissioning Discipline engineers in their specific functional area of responsibility. The Commissioning Engineer may lead all technical discipline work in some specified areas of work. Assisting with developing the Commissioning & Handover Execution Plan, which details the contracting strategy, management systems and staffing. Working with both EPCI detailed engineering engineers and Operations Assurance personnel to ensure tie-ins and isolations are available to facilitate commissioning and/or start-up. Work with Hang Tuah Operations to finalize the turnover and start-up sequences and schedule. Coordinating with the site team, implementing logistical solutions associated with mobilizing vendors and site teams, pre-qualifying and ensuring the personnel to be supplied by EPCI contractor are qualified in the area of commissioning. Participating in bid clarification & kick-off meetings where applicable. Compiling pre-commissioning & commissioning scopes of work for contract documentation, specifying tender requirements and reviews draft contract terms. Assisting with bid evaluation work for primary Commissioning contracts. Reviewing and approving the commissioning and start-up procedures. Reviewing and assisting to Commissioning Management approval of contractor's schedules and planning basis (norms). Ensuring veracity of progress statements. Specifying and negotiating progress recovery measures with contractor as appropriate. Assist in the development of the commissioning & start-up schedule and cost estimate. Participate in engineering activities (VIP’s, PFD, P&ID, plot plan, PHA and model reviews) and constructability reviews. Develop and manages the training and vendor assistance budgets and plans. Lead role in commissioning and startup of all process units and equipment. Assists in site preparation and demolition activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum five (5) years experience in major domestic or international capital project in the petroleum industry primarily in the area of site commissioning, fabrication, start-up or installation, though other industry major industrial commissioning experience may qualify.
- Two (2) years of some Operations support experience, either onshore and offshore
- Open to and available for offshore work.
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Commissioning Management or equivalent training or education.
- Demonstrable technical competency.
- Proven management and staff leadership skills.
- Demonstrable interpersonal, teambuilding and team leading skills.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, have good written and oral communication skills.
Lifting Coordinator (LC)
This Lifting Coordinator position will have the primary responsibility to work with operations, logistics, Singapore commercial, and stakeholders to establish and execute the crude oil and LPG lifting schedules, to establish strong working relationships with key personnel in BPMIGAS, Pertamina Downstream, and other PSC groups through individual contacts, weekly Shipping Coordination Meetings, and annual COMLE meetings, to work with finance and operations to calculate accurate entitlements and maintain ratable off-take between shareholder and government entitlement to manage liftings to avoid demurrage charges and to minimize year end inventories, to work with operations, metering engineers, and commercial to address any disputes arising from crude liftings including quality, demurrage, and dead freight claims.
Required & Preferred Skills/Competencies:
- Holds Diploma III degree in engineering
- 2-5 years of work experience in engineering of Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals plant operation.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problems in an innovative and timely manner.
- Self-starter capability and ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to be available to address crisis situations outside normal working hours including week ends and holidays.
- Able to influence area supervisors, technicians, field operating employees, and government regulators.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets
- Understanding of commercial contract terms preferred
- Operational knowledge marine operations specific experience with crude and/or LPG lifting operations preferred.
Measurement Engineer (ME)
This Measurement Engineer position will have the primary responsibility to optimize design and operations the key fiscal (custody transfer) and allocation metering equipment across the business unit. Provide COPI oversight for important third party metering equipment. The position will also work to ensure the accuracy of measurement and the quality of the data used for production and allocation of hydrocarbons.
Required & Preferred Skills/Competencies
- Holds Bachelor degree in engineering
- 2-5 years of work experience in engineering of Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals plant operation.
- 2 year technology degree in electrical, mechanical or a related field.
- Possesses operational knowledge of measurement equipment such as meters, flow computers, product sampling systems, provers, etc.
- Understanding of measurement requirements or recommended practices for API, GPA, and other associated agencies.
- Understanding of products and crude quality characteristics and fluid mechanics and how accurate measurement is obtained.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problems in an innovative and timely manner.
- Self-starter capability and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong math skills.
- Sound time management, planning, facilitation, and organizational skills.
