Located in one of the rapidly developing regions of the world and a busy trading route, Drydocks World’s Dubai shipyard is one of the most prolific shipyards in operation. The shipyard is the largest facility in the Middle East and is the flagship company of Dubai World subsidiary Drydocks World. A ship repair yard of choice, it is also the preferred location for vessel conversions, new building and offshore construction.
Conceived as an ambitious project under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the late Ruler of Dubai, the facility on an average handles 350 vessels in a year, most of them ULCCs (Ultra Large Crude Carriers) and VLCCs (Very Large Crude Carriers). It completed 25 years of operation in 2008. The shipyard has repaired over 6600 vessels so far.
Several of the world’s largest dredgers and jack-up rigs are serviced every year and the yard has specialised LNG handling capabilities. The yard’s workshops are equipped with modern equipment capable of working to exacting standards. Drydocks World has yards operating in Singapore and Indonesia, in Graha, Pertama and Nanindah in Indonesia. In South East Asia, Drydocks World offers a full spectrum of integrated maritime solutions in the strategic hub of Singapore. The company houses four of Asia’s premier shipyards in one of the world’s busiest seaways specialising in Rig Building and Shipbuilding, as well as Repair and Conversions, supported by full Engineering and Design Capabilities.
In addition, the company operates a fleet of 160 vessels comprising of Tankers, Bulk / Cargo vessels, Supply Vessels, Tugs, Anchor Handling Tugs and Barges. Tax Accountant
(Based in Batam)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing monthly/annual tax returns, monthly schedule and analysis of all taxes
- Liaise with Tax office on tax assessment that may arise from a tax audit
- Advise and update Management on all tax issues and exposures and new tax regulations
Requirements:
- Candidates must have at least a Bachelor Degree from a reputable university, specialising in Indonesia Tax and has tax qualification such as Brevet A & B
- Minimum 3 years working experience in foreign MNC companies advising management on tax compliance and other tax related issues
- Has experience liaising with the Tax Authority
- Able to communicate well in English and analytical in thinking
- Willing to work in Batam
Finance Manager
(Based in Batam)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Accounts reflect accurately the business operations of the Company
- Review of financial policies and procedures for Finance department and ensuring that the documented internal controls and processes are followed and complied by the staff
- Maintain an effective accounting system and records that are in compliance with accepted accounting standards and legal requirements
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience handling full spectrum of accounting involving multi currency and has comprehensive knowledge of Indonesia Tax compliance and GAAP
- Degree with major in Accounting (S1) from a reputable university or hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
- Attention to detail and follow through and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Fluent in English both oral and written, good time management and has excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Prior Working experience in the Marine, Offshore or Oil & Gas Industry will be advantageous
- Willing to relocate to Batam, Indonesia
