Thiess first commenced operations in Indonesia in 1972 as a subsidiary of Thiess Bros Pty Ltd. In 1984 Thiess Indonesia operations were acquired by C.S.R. in a corporate takeover.

In November 1988, PT. Thiess Contractors Indonesia was re-established and incorporated. It was awarded its first major mining contract in March 1989 by BHP at Senakin Mine in Kalimantan.


Through the 1990s, Thiess Indonesia was very successful in securing a significant share of the infrastructure works associated with the development of major mines by international mining companies.

In addition, Thiess Indonesia has been successful in servicing a number of long-term mining contracts, which are still in progress today. In more recent years, Thiess Indonesia has diversified into Telecommunications projects and the Oil and Gas sector.

The strength of Thiess Indonesia project experience has enabled the group to develop the capability to provide total project solutions through E.P.C contracts and other project delivery methods including alliances. Engineer - Mining (EM)
To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Graduated from mining or geological engineering.
  • Experienced in mine design concepts and operations in coal mining, scheduling and planning.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in coal mine engineering projects.



Graduate QA/QC ENGINEER (GQE)
Requirements:

  • Willing to be placed at Construction Project.
  • Excellent communication skill in English (oral and written)
  • Bachelor degree from Civil Engineer with minimum GPA 3.00 (Year of Graduation 2009 - 2011)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a culturally diverse organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and able to influence situations to achieve goals
  • Able to work collaboratively with others and use initiative in various situations


GRADUATE MECHANICAL ENGINEER (PLANT DEPARTMENT) (GME)
Requirements:

  • Willing to work on remote locations
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree from Mechanical Engineering with minimum GPA 2.75 from reputable University (Year of Graduation 2009 - 2011)
  • Have automotive activities background is a must
  • High passion in automotive activities such as repair, maintenance, preventive, predictive
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Highly motivated, strong analytical skill and problem solving capabilities, good team work and adaptable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to influence situation to achieve goals
  • Able to work under pressure in an International and culturally diverse organization


GRADUATE SAFETY (GS)
Responsible for undertake training to gain full understanding of TCI safety procedures and programs; gain full understanding of risk management programs; undertake training to gain full understanding of TCI audit process; assist compliance Superintendent to conduct project safety audits; participate in internal section and subcontractor audits with site staff; participate in audits of high-risk work activities; participate in audits of implementation of TCI behavioural safety programs (SBO, Amankan); participate in investigations of significant incidents; gain full understanding of analysis of incident data; review safety alerts prior to distribution; gain full understanding of all functions of T-Safe database; undertake training to gain full understanding of SBO program; undertake Workplace Trainer training.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to be based at Balikpapan, East Kalimantan
  • Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety from reputable University with minimum GPA 3.00 (Graduation 2009 - 2011)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Highly motivated, strong analytical skill and problem solving capabilities, good team work and adaptable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to influence situation to achieve goals

GRADUATE QA TMS ENGINEER (GTE)
Thiess Management System (TMS) implementation and maintenance, PMP and Sub Plan, Quality ISO9001, ISO14001, OSHAS18001.

Requirements :

  • Willing to be placed at Sangatta, East Kalimantan.
  • Excellent communication skill in English (oral and written)
  • Bachelor degree from Industrial Engineer with minimum GPA 3.00 (Year of Graduation 2009 - 2011)

GRADUATE LOGISTIC (GL)

This position will be managed the waste and hydrocarbon, rehabilitation activity and environmental management system in order to support the mining operations activity and assist the environmental engineer for day to day environmental activity on site.

  • Bachelor degree from Environmental Engineering & Foresty with minimum GPA 3.00 (Year of Graduation 2009 - 2011)

GRADUATE MINING ENGINEER
Involved in mine planning & scheduling of mining operations (short term and long term), monitoring of performance, drill & blast, cost control and provide technical support for mining operations in order maximize productivities in the most cost effective and efficient.
