The origins of the word "OMRON" can be found in Kyoto. Looking for a soft, elegant name for one of his products, a curling iron aimed at women, Mr. Tateisi found inspiration in Omuro, the district where he first set up shop. He released the curling iron under the name "OMRON," which would be changed to "OMRON" in 1958, when Mr. Tateisi began to market control equipment internationally. Pronounced almost the same way in every language, the word "OMRON" has become synonymous with unparalleled quality throughout the world. Ninna-ji Temple in Kyoto

Omuro was originally another name for Kyoto's Ninna-ji Temple, which is renown for the exquisite cherry blossoms that can be seen from within its confines. As time passed, the whole district encompassing Ninna-ji came to be known as "Omuro."

ENGINEER – SALES & MARKETING

Qualification :

  • A degree in Electrical / Electronics from a recognized University.
  • 2 – 3 years related experience.
  • Have knowledge of PLC, Motion Control, Control Component & Temperature Controller e.g. Timer, Counter, Relay, Display Unit and Sensor.
  • Must have “A” driving license.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Japanese is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel and take up challenge.


Job Scope :
Liaise with customers to offer application solution for :

  • Factory Automation system comprising PLC, Touch Screen, Servo Motor, Inverter, Networking, Sensor Application
  • To provide training and disseminate product application knowledge both for customer & distributors for promotion purpose.
  • Project coordination & monitoring upon award of contract.
  • To manage the sales of product through the distribution channel.
  • To report to management on job progress and market information.
  • To meet the Annual Sales target.
  • Maintain good & professional relationship with customer & distributors.
