GEMS production capacity is near 10 million tons in 2011, with actual production in previous years at around 3 million tons. GEMS coal is mainly 4200 kcal/kg (GAR), 4800 kcal/kg (GAR) and 5300 kcal/kg (GAR). Current export markets are to China, India, Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh. GEMS exports coal through coal terminals located in Bunati Sungai Danau (South Kalimantan) and (Teluk Bayur Padang), which have 5 million and 3 million tons capacities respectively. Production is expected to ramp up to 15 million tons by 2014. 1. SHE Department Head (Code : SDH)
1.1 Minimum Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineer/K3
1.2 Minimum 7 years experience in coal mining industry, with 2 Years experience as SHE Department Head
1.3 Having POP (Pengawas Operasional Pertama) certificate is preferable
1.4 Well understanding about mining operation, Good knowledge about Safety/K3 procedure and regulation, and environmental management
1.5 Has the ability to draft health, safety and Environment (HSE) strategies, plans, programs, policies, system & procedures as well as lead, manage, and support their implementation
1.6 Good leadership to subordinates with good interpersonal and organizational skills
1.7 Willing to be placed on site
2. SHE Supervisor (Code : SSP)
2.1 Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineer or equivalent and Minimum 3 years experience in coal mining industry
2.2 In depth knowledge & experience in mining operation, Good knowledge about Safety/K3 procedure and regulation, and environmental management
2.3 Having POP (Pengawas Operasional Pertama) certificate is preferable
2.4 Fluent in English both oral & written
2.5 Has the ability to draft health, safety and Environment (HSE) strategies, plans, programs, policies, system & procedures as well as lead, manage, and support their implementation
2.6 Good leadership to subordinates with good interpersonal and organizational skills
2.7 Willing to be placed on site
3. Geotechnical Engineer (Code : GTE)
3.1 Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Geology/Mining Engineering
3.2 Having “Pratama or Madya” Certification is preferable
3.3 Minimum of 2 years experiences in the geotechnical, large open cut mining and mine engineering
3.4 Having Superior Skills in : Geotechnical drilling and surface sampling, filed mapping, installation of ground water monitoring wells, installation and analysis of geotechnical instrument for slope movement, Geotechnical analysis using of geotechnical software of both LEM (Slope/W, Galena, Swedge, etc) & FEM (Phase2, Seep/W, Sigma/W).
4. Resource Geologist (Code : RGL)
4.1 Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Geology
4.2 Minimum 2 Year experience as Resource Geologist
4.3 Having “Pratama” Certification is preferable
4.4 Good ability in Geological Modelling with Autocad, Minescape/Minex
4.5 Good analytical thinking, hard working, proactive and self starter
5. Mine Engineer (Code : MPE)
5.1 Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering with minimum 2 years experience in open cut mining operations ideally with exposure to truck and shovel operations
5.2 Thorough knowledge of pit production activities and equipment, pit technical and pit maintenance process, procedures and activities
5.3 Good knowledge of coal mining terminology
5.4 A very good understanding of MINEX mining software
5.5 Good Interpersonal & communication skill in both bahasa Indonesia and English
5.6 Possess “Pengawas Operational Pratama” certification from Directorate General of Mining and Energy is a good addition
6. Mechanical Supervisor (Code : MES)
6.1 Minimum S1 in Mechanical Engineering
6.2 Minimum 3 year experience as Mechanical in coal mining industry is preferable
6.3 Have strong leadership skills, proactive attitude, and be interested in performing trouble shooting and finding solutions and making improvements for the benefit of project
6.4 Have capability to manage a group of technicians, capable to make comprehensive reports and illustrate correctly
6.5 Good in English, both in oral and writing
6.6 High analytical skill
6.7 Able to work independently as well as a team
6.8 Willing to work on site in Jambi
7. Wellsite Geos (Code : WLG)
7.1 Male, age 23 – 30 year
7.2 Minimum S1 in Geology
7.3 Minimum 1 Year experience as wellsite geos
7.4 Have knowledge about description litology, coring, sampling coal, reconcile, interpretation logging
8. Production Section Head (Code : PSH)
8.1 Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining engineering
8.2 Minimum 5 years experience in coal mining industry
8.3 Having POP (Pengawas Operasional Pertama) certificate
8.4 Well understanding about mining operation (facility / equipment / man power)
8.5 Good knowledge about Safety/K3 procedure
8.6 Able to make a plan and execution, including production mining analysis and cost
8.7 Willing to be placed in South Kalimantan
9. Warehouse Foreman/Kepala Gudang Handak (Code : WHF)
9.1 Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering
9.2 Minimum 1 Year experience as Kepala Gudang Handak
9.3 Having KJL II (Juru Ledak Kelas 2) certificate
9.4 Willing to work at mine site
10. Drafter GIS (Code : DFG)
10.1 Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering
10.2 Minimum 1 year experience as Drafter GIS
10.3 Able to communicate in English
10.4 Able to operate Mapinfo Software Efficiently, Autocad software for basic drawing, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point Presentation) and adobe Photoshop
10.5 Hands on experience on GIS packages
